This area focuses on the development of the five senses. Children learn to differentiate between sizes, colors, textures, weights, sounds, odors and tastes.
Children learn phonetic sounds rather than the letter names enabling them to increase their vocabulary and improve their communication skills. Children also learn to develop writing skills through different exercises.
Children understand the basic concepts of math through hands-on "concrete" materials in order to build a solid foundation. Abstract materials are presented once a child has mastered the skills.
In this area children learn about geography and cultural diversity using maps, globes, flags and land forms. The science focus teaches them about living and non-living things, plants, animals and the human body.
